wednesday1
I just had a look at the L***s forum to see that there are currently only 50 punters online, 6 members and 44 guests. Sheffield Forum currently has 1352 punters online, 336 members and 1016 guests. I don't know much about other forums, but is SF the biggest city forum in the UK? Why is SF so successful? SF is established, LF is in its infancy, it is the same format just give it time.
MC Spyda
It's been around for a long time, which helps, along with decent advertising and word of mouth.

As for it being in its infancy, that excuse is starting to wear a bit thin, there doesn’t seem to be the same interest for some reason.
Mister M
What I like about the Forum is that there's a real mix of characters and it's not a 'single issue forum' - lots of things are up for discussion
wednesday1
SF is established, LF is in its infancy, it is the same format just give it time. LF's been going a while now, of course nowhere near as long as SF, but I can't see it being the phenomenon that SF is.
MC Spyda
Leeds doesn't have the community spririt that Sheffield has. It will never be as big.
Rampent
It's the trolls that make the site. Alf, my mechanic said so. It must be true.
0742Sheff
Maybe they don't have the characters needed yet. Bare in mind when this place started we had some seriously funny and quality posters. Most nights were a riot of laughter (for me anyway). The forum wasn't moderated anywhere near as much as it is now. It was still a baby on a learning curve. As it happened it was more like a riot of a roller coaster at some points
