EdnaKrabappe
Yes that's an idea - or could even do a BBQ at home then head out. Ooh what to do, what to do??!! I'd beware of using the Forum as a starting point, seeing as it was tricky even to get in there at many points, due to the huge queue down Div Street last year. I do think they owe you some recompence, whether that be a meal, or a discount towards booking your party for a later date with them. Leopold Square might be a good alternative, just having a meal or something, be cheaper too as no room hire! Strada and Platillos good and accomodating, would not recommend Zizzi in a million years! The room at the Cutlers is a good room and not that dear, I think it goes on bar bills so if you put some behind the bar if you were planning on paying anyway, plus it's not that far up to the action. I can't believe someone even took your booking for the Forum knowing it will be a really lucrative weekend for them, someone will have got their knuckles rapped for that one! Magilla
If they've accepted payment I would be looking for more than my money back from the forum, they've breached their side of the contract, I'm sure that they'd have been penalties if you'd have breached your side of the contract. Indeed, from the description it seems like a clear case of breach of contract. If the venue the OP finally settles on costs more than The Forum, they would be well within their rights to ask The Forum to make up the difference. I agree- i think she would be entitled to ask the forum for a sum of money to help towards her re-arrangement costs. Especially if she has to send out new invites/change hotel bookings. Andy C
Another idea might be the Rutland Arms on Brown Street, although its only small there is an upstairs room, beer garden and fairly nice food. You can easily then just walk up the hill to the Tramlines action.

Thanks Whilst its not right in the Centre you can get a tram from near the casino to most of the Tramlines venues.
