Should poor people be allowed to grow their own food?

Recommended Posts

So given that people do currently own land, and have paid money for it which they had saved in exchange for labour, how do you propose to reach your utopia without stealing the land from the current owners, or rendering land ownership irrelevant (which is the same as stealing the land from the current owners).

Nobody owns land, they just own the tenure.

You could tackle the problem in multiple ways, you could prosecute them for buying stolen goods or possessing stolen goods. But that would be a bit pointless.

You could give them a tax discount.

No you couldn't because under the laws you're talking about no land has been stolen.

Or you could accept that land is now owned and if you want some you'll have to buy it.

That's silly.

We can make new cars, people can buy their own, they aren't stopped from using cars due to the car ownership of others.

The same with the rest of your examples.

I think you've missed my point, or are pretending to. No that is silly!
