upinwath
I've noticed many comments on various threads that are openly racist. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7700194&postcount=169 In that post, the poster makes a statement clearly intended to promote racial hatred. he Public Order Act 1986 contains the offences of inciting or stirring up racial hatred. It prohibits the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or displaying any written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting with the intention of stirring up racial hatred or where racial hatred is likely to be stirred up. The Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (citation 2006 c. 1) which creates an offence in England and Wales of inciting hatred against a person on the grounds of their religion. In allowing that sort of illegal hate garbage, is the forum condoning breaking the law?
medusa
So, the post above was deleted because it was reported as breaking forum rules but you, in your wisdom still felt it appropriate to post the content again? I would suggest that you consult forum rules on what is allowed and what is not: Users agree to use this site for lawful purposes only. Users shall not post or transmit through this site any material which violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others, which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, confidential, vulgar, obscene, profane or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law. Racism is NOT allowed, nor will it be, on SF. Closing.
