Griffly
Does your team need money for next season? FREE fundraising events at ‘The Royal Standard’, St Mary’s Road, Sheffield Having been affiliated with sports teams and social clubs for almost 15 years I can appreciate how difficult it can be to find funds for new kits, equipment etc and having past experiences of fundraising nights I know how hard it is to find a suitable venue, and once you do they are often quite mundane affairs. Now that I manage the Royal Standard I would like to assist teams in creating a fundraising atmosphere that is as much about a ‘team night out’ as it is about raising valuable funds. We have a variety of tried and tested fundraising events that can raise from as little as £50 to £1,000+ depending on your requirements. A simple pool or darts or pool knockout with a £5 entrance fee based on 30 competitors raises £150, minus a deduction of your choosing for prizes leaves you with over £100 profit for your club. We can also offer tailor made quizzes on the subject(s) of your choice, all you have to do is choose an entrance fee that will return you the most funds. Our second most popular fundraiser at the moment is our ‘Poker Night’. We provide professional poker tables, chips, cards etc. You just round up 32 players who pay a one off £10 entrance fee (no re-buy ins keeps things fairer, but this is your preference) and raise £320 less the prizes of your choice. Full table service is supplied to give it a casino feel so you can concentrate on the game at hand. We also cater for teams who participate in monthly 16 player games in our small room for a regular income to their club, which is also a viable option for you if required. The most popular and profitable event for the teams is our ‘Race Night’. The LEAST this event has raised for a team is £300, and many teams have walked away with funds well over the £1000 mark. What’s the Catch? There isn’t one! All our events are free and we supply all the equipment, you get to keep all money raised, and I simply benefit from a bit of extra trade. Buffet style food can be supplied by us at all events but unfortunately this will cost a set price per head, or alternatively feel free to supply your own! We also have drink offers on all night. I hope that you have found this of interest and if you require any further details and available dates please feel free to contact me on Tel: 0114 2722883, E-mail: thersbar@yahoo.co.uk or simply pop into the Royal Standard, 156 St Mary’s Road, Sheffield S2 4AX for a chat The Royal Standard is located close to the Leadmill and Plug nightclubs and is also situated 5mins from the town centre, so we aim for events to finish before midnight to make each event a good team night out. Griffly
Hiya slattsowl, The night you choose depends on how many people you can get to come down! We can organise a poker night which is good for up to 32 people, pool knockout for around 10-20 people or a race night for quite a few people. All events have a good social vibe and are ideal for team bonding. If you let me know a provisional date I can pencil it in if your interested and if we are free that night. Feel free to pop down this Saturday and see how the Race Night runs etc, or if you PM me your email address I can send you our pack which explains everything and has more fundraising ideas etc. Hope this helps! Look forward to hearing from you soon! Best Regards Griff
