Lady Star Posted June 3, 2011 Share Posted June 3, 2011 It depends on the individuals preference - a dog is harder to lok after, as it requires walking etc, and both live 12 years plus, so you have to know the kid really wants one, or that you are prepared to care for the animal if and when the novelty wears off for the kid...
