Feminist protesters vs new Playboy club

What degree is she doing? a mickey mouse or something worth losing her own dignity for, and by association tarring all women with the brush of 'women as buyable commodity' at the same time?

She's going to study Medicine. You can't answer, and won't.....:D

Exactly.

It's not the women who work there that are being exploited, it's them men the frequent these places that are the one's being exploited.

It's just that sometimes it's easier to be a hypocrite than to face the simple truths.

Several posters keep harping on about this exploitation, who has claimed that anyone is being exploited? Unless these 'bunnies' have been trafficked or forced into it, then exploitation ain't happening.

As men? Almost certainly not.

It's men who sexually abuse, assault and rape women. Almost never happens the other way round.

That maybe true, but its a different argument and not relevant to the debate about lap dancers..

Try this one then - courtesy of Suffy -

''Playboy may not be as 'bad' as strip joints, lapdancing clubs etc, however, like lads' mags, Hooters and the like, it portrays the sexual objectification of women for male pleasure as harmless fun, totally normal and something that both women and men should buy into. This has a negative impact on all women.''

Mr Prime you said, and I quotes

The strippers fall into the first camp e.g. they look good and men would like to have fun with them

Exaxtly, but the poor blokes never do have any fun with the women - a quick WHOO HOO with his right hand alone at night alone is all they get.

All you feminist bulldog faces, answer this.

Is getting your boobys out and making lots of money in a night not the ultimate form of feminism? especially if that girl then goes and pays for a university education. The girl at 21 has a degree and the world is her oyster.

Also, with tuition fees going up, the number of people who can afford to go to University will drop, and as a consequence the earning power of someone with a degree will go up. Imagine, aged 21, the girl who flashes her boobys for middle aged men, now walks into a job with a 25k starting salary (thats what will happen when less people go to uni - will take 10 years to get there)

With regards the "women get raped and attacked", the strippers get attacked :hihi::hihi::hihi: HA HA HA - yeah right. In a strip club, there are dozens of burly bouncers all over the place, also, many of these strippers have husbands/partners, who are fit men.

Can you imagine MR Baldy middle aged man attempting to sexually attack a stripper? if the strippers partner doesn't smash him up first, I'm sure the burly bouncers will have fun ejecting the baldy with a hard on.

Alternatively - a girl can get a job in Meadowhall, work in a shop for the minimum wage. At Christmas when its late openings, she can be expected to attempt to make her way home in the dark, because the shops shut AFTER......the last bus leaves.

Think about it, the shopping centre shuts at 12, the last bus leaves at 11pm, how does she get home? she is more likely to be attacked in this instance, that she would if she worked in a strip club surrounded by burly bouncers
