Feminist protesters vs new Playboy club

Recommended Posts

But if people are going to protest they can't just accept that everyone is going to support their daft ideologies and made up victim mentality..:loopy::D

Not wanting little girls to be groomed by a brand that makes hardcore pornography is a daft ideology?

What have they dictated to anyone?

They trying to stop women from earning money by whatever means they choose (something the feminist movement has campaigned for).

This movement wanted sexual freedom, now they've got it, they want to tell women how to use it.

That's just silly. They employ plenty off parents both male and female. I'm sure they don't see it that way..Its statements like that, that really do sink any of the reasonable arguments you may have.

If anyone's heard any reasonable arguments by Chris, please let me know..:suspect:

Could you suggest any of these better/worse places you have in mind?

Can you articulate why you think this protest is insulting and abhorrent to the feminist movement?

No they aren't - they're objecting to the way that Playboy markets to children under a brand name that's associated with pornography and the objectification to women.

Playboy targets its brand towards children through pencil cases and bed covers, essentially grooming young girls into porn culture, argued Banyard.

It is the parents that buy them though. Nothing to do with Playboy pre-se, it's bad parenting. It's pointless protesting outside a club because they make products that adult buy for their children, Playboy will only market what they know sells. It's irresponsible parents that are to blame, not playboy.

If you saw a child running around with a pack of fireworks in their hand, would you blame the child, the firework, the fireworks manufacturer or the adult that gave them him/her?

You contradict yourself. I've sunk my own reasonable arguments and I've not made any reasonable arguments?
