Jonnymango
Anybody been to this night (or even this venue)? Whats it like? What time is it open until?
unuspromulti
I've not been to the said night but spent a lot of time in Sharkeys. The venue's really nice, good drinks at decent prices too. Upstairs is pretty well kitted out, sound quality's pretty good throughout too, not sure on lights/visuals.
ngie1
Sharkeys is always THE place to go on any night of the week. If funk and soul brings out the Gloria Gaynor in you then Mondays with DJ Mr. Mercer is definitely for you. Aural Pleasures( Tuesdays) Comon Ground (Wednesdays) and so on... are all worth checking out! Sharkeys - great drinks at even greater prices - HEAVEN!!! "Aural Pleasures" is Tuesdays "Common Ground" (funk / jazz / hip hop soul mix up fix up) is Friday nights upstairs. "The Bass Bar" (dnb and all things bassy) is on Wednesdays. "Nu-Bohemia" is once a month on Thursdays (last week Quantic rocked it and next month Diesler is playing at this) Otherwise Thursdays have Dj Clipboard at the controls. Plus there are other one offs to watch out for incluing live bands and special events like the recent "No Wax" and Dexter nights. It's good to see that these types of music are getting more exposure in Sheff.
