kal el Posted June 8, 2011 Author Share Posted June 8, 2011 if you are on incapacity benefits then you need to google social tariffs, british gas is one of the biggest schemes and its called essentials... i was with British gas and went to Scottish power as bg at the time were useless.they wouldnt listen to me when i made calls they wouldnt reply to my letters so i went with sp. missflirtuk Posted June 8, 2011 Share Posted June 8, 2011 My bills are roughly £15/month electric, and £5/month gas. I will try to reduce my gas and electric usage further but this will be difficult. These above average inflation rises in essentials does not cease, yet wages remain stagnant. With regards to inflation, wages have remained stagnant for over 30 years, often falling! for the working class that is! What is going on, is a disgrace. Soon there will be a revolt. All utilities should be and shall be nationalized. Unless wages start rising a lot, and fast. £15 A MONTH?! That is very cheap. How do you manage that? (2.75 kWh a day) First 174 kWh @ 21.248 = £36.97 Next 68 kWh @ 9.037 = £6.15 ~= £15/month Everything is turned off unless I'm using it, or it needs to be turned on (fridge).
