Mole removal (not the furry animal)

Recommended Posts

OK ... an update here,

Does anyone know how to stem blood loss from an open wound?

... just had a little peck at the mole with my modellers scalpel out of curiosity.

(a) Lots of blood to the point I fear I may be moribund.

(b) It bloody hurts!

There's no way it's off yet ... it's something like that film '127 hours' and I fear I'm beginning to hallucinate!

I'm beginning to have doubts about removing the mole on my neck. :(

Serves you right!

DIY surgery is almost always a bad thing and certainly should not be performed in your best clothes, white or not.

You should see a proper medic and have it removed properly.

The medic will also be able to get it tested and make sure your mole is not a cancerous one.

I've got this mole under my left armpit and it really annoys me! It's about the size of a nipple.

Do you think it'd be OK to cut it off with a scalpel?

I'm not bothered about a bit of blood or pain. :)

NOOOOO! removing it could cause all sorts of trouble! See your GP or use the walk in service but do not try removal yourself!!
