verynaughty
I had some devastating news this week. Someone had told my husband (via another person) that a very dear friend of his had died on Sunday. Well we found out late last night that he hadn't died at all, he still lives in the Care Home, since a stroke 6 years ago (only in his late 40s early 50s). I telephone the Care Home and was told he was alive and kicking!!! Why don't people get their facts right, instead of causing total stress to family and friends (someone had rung his son to say sorry for his loss) it was news to him. HeadingNorth
Some people do this sort of thing out of sheer malice, but it's more likely that the person who told your husband was himself (or herself) misinformed.
