Jews have been living in Iran for centuries as well as Egypt! In other Muslims countries they are even allowed to have their OWN civil courts. which operate interdependently from the host Muslim nation. Nobody spells antisemite with a hyphen in its original German. Semite had no currency as a word until antisemitism came along. But the word semitic was however used by linguists to refer to semitic languages, but not the people that spoke them. And this is the source from which Wilhelm Marr coined the unhyphenated German word. in any case referring to Semites as a people is absurd. Half of Ethiopians speak Semitic languages and half don't. It's nonsensical to refer to half as them as Semites, and half as non-Semites, rather than as Semitic or non-Semitic language speakers. For the 400 years before WW I, the land was occupied by the Turkish Ottoman empire. Until very recently indeed, in living memory when the Palestinian Arabs got together the notion of 'self-determination', there has only ever been one national identity that has ever had, or claimed Jerusalem as its national capital - and that's the Israelis. In the period between 638 and 1071, which was the only period Arabs ever controlled the land, it was administered as an outpost of an empire, from afar. Shalom LOL stop living in the 60s and 70s when Israel was able to do what you think they did,although they do nothing without the help of the Americans.In 2000 Israel withdrawal from south Lebanon was a total humiliation to the police of the middle east. Again in 2006 they couldn't advanced even for couple of kilometres with 33 days and then they asked for a cease fire with Lebanon.Now they are even ******* their pants carrying on 5 drills so far preparing for what they fear the most ,a rockets attacks reaching Tel Aviv .Go read and learn so you don't sound as an idiot all the time you post something as much as many of pro Israelis on SF...
