Hidden inflation - The Tory stealth tax on the poor

Recommended Posts

Never mind, analysts say rising energy prices meant inflation was likely to resume its upward path in the coming months.

"With the announcement of higher utility prices coming through by the summer, there's a good chance we'll be looking at a 5% plus inflation rate by the autumn"

Would pensioners include professional ex public sector employees on mega pensions? Public sector workers are now being asked to work for the same length of time as the common people, that will never do. :hihi:

Not quite true though is that statement? The rate of inflation is the same for everyone. What has always been true is that the poorer people have always paid a larger percentage of their income (or capital) than the better off.For everything they buy.

So how would you rectify that, bring back Robin Hood?

I don't think there is hidden stealth, it's blatant steam rollering ... and that applies to most people residing in the UK. Gauranteed they will be some who have the means to pay their dews but are not doing so though

Aw diddums. Public sector workers include some of the lowest paid people in the country and the vast majority of them don't get the sort of pensions given to Fred Goodwin. So why aren't you directing your bile at him and his banking chums?

Would you class him as "common people"? He's private sector so according to your bizarre logic he must be.

The inflation of certain things are measured to determine inflation.

Some rise faster than others. Some fall in price whilst inflation is high.

The things rising in price the most are the things purchased by the poor.

And they have been doing so for a long time.

And for all intents and purposes, new labour was a tory government continuing many of Thatcher's policies.
