Help with Family Tree Needed

Recommended Posts

Hi Rivelin6,

I'm fairly new to this. I bought a 3 month PAYG membership to .co.uk but it expires tomorrow. What do you mean by family search? Wouldn't the baptisms be listed on findmypast?

Thanks again,

Sarah

Must admit not found the baptisms very good on findmypast

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/

I find the old site helps as much as the new in different ways.:)

Sarah.

You will only find the baptism on FindMyPast if the Family History Society for that area have submitted their transcriptions.

check out their website. http://www.norfolkfhs.org.uk/

Looking at the I.G.I. the most likely North Walsham marriage entry for Robert's parents (if we can exclude a entry with the spelling Anne - though of course spellings varied) would seem to be the John Pilgrim who married Ann Rust at North Walsham on 31 December 1822.

This is what I had found previously and though this was about right until I then started looking for census for them. If I remember rightly, I found two different households both with John and Ann as Parent and that was about as far as I got and didn't really know where to go from there to try and find which one it might be :/

Thanks for all your help!

Sarah

Yep - I found them too, without Robert. Maybe he was "adopted" - a Robert Pilgrim of about the right age turns up in the 1841 census living near North Walsham with Thomas and Mary Breese.

What would you do from here? I found exactly with Robert living with the Breese's. Where would you suggest I go from here to try and trace Robert's birth parent?

Thanks,

Sarah
