Powerleague 5-a-side

just looking for opinions of people who play at woodburn rd.... facilities, standard of players, value, that kind of thing.

My son plays there regularly on Mondays and has done for years. He loves it and his team have loads of trophies - no more please!!!!!! I think occasionally the older players forget its only a game and get a bit rough with the younger ones when they are losing to them but then, they are men!

Used to play at power league a couple of years ago, its got v rough.

 

My mate got kicked in the head by a moron who plays for sheffield rangers up there.

 

Id try the 5 a side at concorde, its much better and there's some good teams who just want to play football.

I think it all depends on what league you play and on what night. I play on Sunday evenings and never have a problem. There's people there that think 'it's only a game' and others that really want to win. It can get a bit rough at times but if you can handle it you'll be ok. The refs keep it all under control.

 

There's no slide tackling anyway, so it's unlikely you'll get badly injured

If you want to play 5-a-side without the rough and tumble you should play futsal, its a 5-a-side game without the kicking up in the air, good for developing players too.
