Emily Moore
There are a great many public sector workers who like others have large credit card debts and negative equity mortgages. There is nothing like the reality check of getting into arrears for making folks realise that their pension provision is indeed unsustainable. ostridge
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13772326 So it looks like a strike by a lot of public sector workers is on the way. Are they right or wrong? Don't most of them get a pretty good deal compared to the private sector? Lots of similar jobs in the private sector wouldn't get a company pension and pay would be lower. It seems pretty selfish really and will cause a lot of people problems. They are right, 100%.

donkey
Whether taking money out of public services will help the economy or not is debatable. However, a few people on here have expressed a personal dislike of people who work in the public sector. You know who you are! What you don't grasp is the extent of your own stupidity in deciding to dislike whoever it is certain sections of the media decide to scapegoat. If the Sun ran a campaign against lollypop ladies, no doubt you'd be on here shortly afterwards to villify them as well, like the good little dim-witted poodles you are. Where is your evidence that people on here "personally" dislike someone working in the public sector?......................not counting Brown and Blair of course!
