Rupert_Baehr
No. Then again, I don't use text speak for anything. Were I to receive a (supposedly) 'business' e-mail which contained slang or text speak I would probably treat it in the same manner as I treat those e-mails from those friendly Nigerian ladies who want to make me rich. I get large numbers of Spam e-mails. Some I block; most I ignore - and delete without reading them. Occasionally I get an e-mail from somebody I don't recognise, but may know - so I read it. I got one such e-mail yesterday from somebody with an e-mail address very similar to the username of a poster on this forum, so I opened it. I don't suppose it was from you, Angel ... but nice rack
barleycorn
I've never seen it as anything other than a typo. Some people do it pretty much all the time and don't realise. It is also sometimes used as a sly dig against a certain type of semi literate forum poster!!!11!!1111 jb
The_Shark
Can you imagine in twenty year at a comedy show - the audience don't laugh, they just shout at lol at the same time. that's funny! :hihi:
Rich
There used to be a Mod on here, called JoeP who always wrote "teh" when he meant the, I always used to take the Pee out of him for it and copy him!
Cynic
I always used to be baffled as to how people could write teh instead of the so often. Then I realised that when I learned to type faster I was making the same mistake quite regularly. When you are touch typing your fingers sometimes don't work quite as quick as you think they do. :-)
Tony Erikson
I've simply found that the more I work with computers the worst my typos become. I get used to one keyboard then it changes. Little things like that.
RootsBooster
It always annoys me when I receive a CV from someone who says the have lots of previous experience in the "pron" industry. I find that deliberate typo very unprofessional!
