mumkin
ahhh, yes but the "big boys" buy wholesale and produce plastic sandwiches, we didn't do that. Indeed, however it's considered "cool" to be seen en-route with a Starbucks coffee clutched in yer mit, hence my point about targeted clientele. Mrs Moo
well I shall have to have "The Attic" plastered over my coffee cups.....lol
laineyiow
If I remember rightly I believe the Attic used to have a few stools by the window so you could eat your sandwiches inside. I'm sure that's where me and my mum used to go some Fridays and the sandwiches were the best in Sheffield (at the time!).
Mrs Moo
There were tables and chairs in the window and down the side of the shop. I'm going to look at a place tomorrow...watch this space
Bertielil
It was lovely & great people to work for, which I did at the beginning of the 70's for a few months. I remember the walls having Joe Scarborough originals, which were for sale, (before he was famous). It would be fantastic to have it again, the sandwiches were amazing & really different, at the time when every other sandwich shop was selling stuff comparable with British Rail. lol. Sooperdooper
I remember the attic well, used to work above it at an insurance brokers on work experience. Rebina shoes opposite. Great sandwiches I work down near the new court buildings there are loads of offices there and no quality lunch places, I am sure that you would do well down there and at the moment, no competition..... Yorkiescot
watch this space..... I can't wait. It would be great if it opened again. When it closed it was like losing a friend. One thing I've never understood though, is how come you couldn't/can't get sandwiches like those anywhere else?
