Couldn't get beer (amstel) less than 2.5 euros but every bar gave you a snack with your beer( popcorn crisps ,apple dusted in cinnammon, tuna olives cucumber, even sausage and egg) Meals varied from 30 to 40 euros a night but included 1 litre of house wine this was for two. Best value were gyros at 2 euros each yum yum. Ouzo 2 euros breakfast without tea was 5.99 euros. Hope this helps .

Lollypops
Just got back from Zante this week and had a fab time. The only reason we were aware of the troubles was from listening to the holiday rep, reading British newspapers and watching BBC world news. Price wise I thought it was more reasonable than France, Spain and Germany. To give you some idea a can of pop in a shop was 60 cents, water was very cheap and eating out was a similar price to here but the quality of the food I thought was much better. As with most places abroad we found local alcoholic drinks to be very reasonably priced. Imported drinks are more expensive than home, but with imported brand spirits you pay more but the measures are bigger. Car hire was cheaper than we paid in Ibiza last year. The resorts were a little quiet though. I know there was a lot of talk of it being because people are opting to go all inclusive. How ever I don't think there were many all inclusive hotels in the resort we staid in. It makes me wonder if it is also because people at home are having to tighten their belts and not going abroad or maybe how the troubles are being reported by the press is putting people off. I have been on holiday to Spain, France and Germany in the last two years and by far by favourite holiday was this one to Zante It felt less commercialised, the staff in hotels, restaurants and bars seemed more genuine and eager to please and help you have a great time. Saffy
I doubt any unrest would be felt on the islands. I adore Greece, much to my husbands dismay a he'd much rather see other parts of Europe.
holly11
WE went to Rhodes Town for a night out, £7-£10 for a bottle of beer. Friendly locals, but very expensive
