Richer than most of the world, still poorer than plenty of european countries because inflation outstrips income. Poorer than the US, Japan and places like Australia. crookesey Posted June 21, 2011 Share Posted June 21, 2011 You can't have "sub prime packaged mortgage debt" without lending to people who are unlikely to be able to pay you back.l As the 'wholesale' arms of our banks will now have to stand or fall on their own results, I do not understand how the 'wholesale' arm of a bank, buying the debt of US banks based on the security of properties that wouldn't be out of place in the film deliverance, causes you any concern.
