andikay
I think it depends on whether the supply was just plenty for a person or genuinely limitless. If it was genuinely limitless then I'm sure I'd find ways to make sure that every decent medical research project which could save millions of lives, every education and engineering project which could help people not die of really simple things like diarrhoea and every piece of agricultural research that would help to feed the millions of people extra that the earth would then have to support would all get paid for. If it was simply enough for any one person to live on then I'd like a house with a downstairs loo and a new pair of Birkenstocks please. And I'd probably replace the boiler and employ someone to make trousers long enough for me too. I'd have to spend my limitless money on space exploration to try to find new worlds to accommodate all the people medusa is going to save.

Swan_Vesta
If you had a limitless supply of money you'd just destabilise the economy and render all other currency worthless ..... Actually, there's no need. We've had the banks and the chinless wonders in government to do that for us

I'm not physically able to go and do stuff that I'd like to do to help all of the causes, and no amount of money can get my working body back, so I'll just have to learn to live with it. I already do a number of voluntary jobs, which include looking after this forum when I'm not well enough to do stuff that includes standing up or sitting at a desk, and I'm afraid that I wouldn't give any longer than the time that I already give, no matter how much money you promised me. There would be no point in buying loads of gold jewellery anyway- it brings me up in a really very unpleasant and itchy rash.

Are you disabled for want of a better word. My wife has just sustained a serious spinal injury and is finding it hard to come to terms with it. Any advice you could give me would be gratefully receibed (if i have understood correctly) Many thanks.
