Libyan action has cost UK £250 million..so far!

Recommended Posts

According to Government sources the action that began on 19th March has cost £250 million so far, drawn from Treasury reserves.

Cameron has said that the operation will continue for a long as neccessary.

Is this a wise use of money at a time when we are apparently destitute?

Or is it proof that there is still money sloshing around but Government prioritise where they spend it?

Worth thinking about next you are told that a school crossing patrol needs to be axed due to cuts or a library shut or meals on wheels reduced etc etc etc

There is always money around its just that governments would rather use it for wars than for people.

Lets be honest 99% of politicions are absolutely bonkers.

Exactly!

The government can always find money when it wants to.

Yep, but they've managed to brainwash lots of people into believing we're skint and we'll only survive by frantically sacking lollipop ladies.

Yeah but lets look at it this way. All them RAF jets wizzing around costing ten of 1000's an hour would be if not taking part in action against Libya flying around the UK or wherever of training missions and getting pilots their flying hours in, costing no dount tens of 1000's an hour.

So while numbers like £250 million are been branded around, take away cost that would have be spent anyway, id take a punt at saying the overall cost is a hell of alot lower.

My stance is that it is further proof that Government chooses where to cut and where to spend.
