Are the governments drinking guidelines ridiculous?

Recommended Posts

It terrifies them when they go to the opera once a month and at chucking out time they have to negotiate their way back home to their ivory tower and they actually might see someone else having a good time. They can't accept the fact that other people want to go out and have a good time ... that will never do will it?

I don't think they're ridiculous. They're just a suggestion.

A bit like "by the way, smoking is bad for your health".

Now, if there were laws enforcing these guidelines, that would be ridiculous.

I very much doubt the reason they formulate guidelines is because they can't accept other people having a good time.

Does the phrase, "Testing the water," mean anything to you?
