Why Don't Footballers Deserve so much money?

what about the risk of injury? broken bones which could end careers? granted most will probably retire at 28 or something but surly there must be a element of worry in each players mind everytime they step out on the field?

 

I wonder if they can still claim compensation for injuries in the workplace too?

All emergency services staff face that sort of worry every day. Nurses..doctors...surgeons....if they get something wrong, not only do they cost someone else their life but it doesn't turn out so well for them either.

 

And then you've got the armed forces.

 

Rugby players face much more risk every time they play a game but their wages don't rival that of football players.

That's because no-one cares about minority sports like rugby. You might just as well complain that chess players don't get paid as much as footballers.

I don't know what he thinks, but several millions watch the matches, it is by far and away the most popular sport in Britain, and there seems to be no upper limit on how much people are willing to pay to watch it.
