mr_chris1980
All being well I will be starting a 'pub poker night' at the Bath hotel just off west street in the city centre. All the usual rules will apply £5 buy-in etc. It will be held on a Thursday evening at 8 o'clock and will hopefully kick off soon. I will put something on here when the I know for sure it will be starting. At the minute I'm just trying to gauge how much interest there is out there? Does anyone fancy it?? Why play in a pub when Casinos offer better facilities and dealers? Both G and Naps have £5 tournaments with re-buy or £10 freeze outs so you don't need much to play. Pub poker has a more friendly feel to it were more people can feel comfortable being involved. There are far less runners and the tourney won't finish at 3am in the morning with is handy for us people who work. Any buy in at casinos have a fee added and as far as I'm aware there are no freeze out tourneys for £5 or £10 in naps or G, only re-buys, where in theory you could loose hundreds. The £5 re-buy tourney at naps isn't dealer dealt until the final table. You probably won't find any pros here either, the emphasis being on 'fun' which is a good enough reason for me to think people might want to play. Come and get yourself down. You never know, you might win!

The lottery is one of the purest forms of gambling. you really would be better off keeping your quid in your pocket! 14,500,000 to

I am unsure of Naps schedule but at G you have Monday £10 freeze, Option £10 rebuy, with £3 reg, £1,000 Pot Guaranteed (80 Runners avg) Friday £5 free roll, Option £5 rebuy, with £3 reg, £1,000 Pot Guaranteed (110 Runners avg) Saturday £5 free, Option £5 rebuy with £3 reg, £1,000 Pot Guaranteed (80 Runners avg) Friday and Saturday you have less worry about work for 90% of people and you have the chance of a far bigger pot. On top of that it offers a bar, restaurant and free weekend live entertainment for a spouse or friends. OK with the rebuy option you could 'lose hundreds' but as with all gambling you should set yourself a limit and play to it. If you enter a freeroll and only bring £30 then you have enough for 3 rebuys, a burger and a drink, and if you drive you get free tea, coffee, Lemonde and pepsi's. You will find at G at least that people you refer to as 'Pro's' will only play our deepstack tournaments Tuesday and Sunday where you can win between £2k-£10k. Anyhow since I am not allowed to play at G and the fact I like The Bath, maybe I will! http://www.gcasino.co.uk/sheffield/pokerroom.php
