Two police dogs left to die in unventilated vehicle

Recommended Posts

He probably loves the dogs and his job, I mean there have been many cases where people who love the dogs much more than he did have left them in a car and they have died.

This bloke seems to be extremely irresponsible though, in fact he should have been reassigned to duties that didnt involve dog handling after the first offence.

God, you lot are a right sympathetic bunch.

There are a lot of questions to be asked about this case, but hey... don't let that get in the way of your hatred.

Here's a question for you then.

Why was this policeman allowed to work with dogs when he had done this before?.

If a member of the public did this the police would throw the book at them, this guy has done it twice.

I am in no way sympathetic towards the police officer that left these two dogs to die like that. He was obviously not fit for purpose and should never have been allowed to be in sole charge of them. Yes there are a lot of questions to be asked. The main one being, why the hell was this muppet still working for the police force?

Who knows?! It's one of the many questions that will need answering. And, in due course, it will be answered. No doubt! Furthermore, it appears the police officer's mental health should be subject to the investigation. Suicide is not usually attempted on a whim or the death of a few dogs.

No. If a member of public did this and tried to commit suicide, they would be sectioned, just like the officer in question. Yes, they would be subject to an investigation, as will the officer. Hence why the RSPCA and IPCC are involved.

This thread is turning into another anti-police thread with no real basis for the accusations being made.

Do you not agree that if a member of public had done this they would have been banned from keeping animals at the very least?.

Did the officer attempt suicide previous to this incident?, I doubt it very much.

So it's OK to do it twice then.

Maybe it was a question of finances, I'm sure there is a hefty amount of money involved in training the officers and the dogs (although in his case the dogs cost is now irrelevant).

Also I would imagine getting dog handlers is a difficult thing to do because not many coppers would want to get involved with dogs, just like not many would want to get involved with horses in the mounted police.
