Having eaten at both, I would say the food is comparable in both venues, with Ecclesall Road getting the nod due to the recent refurbishment.

Couldn't really fault either to be fair, and to say that it isn't value for money is scandalous.

I went to the Ecclesall Road restaurant for my birthday in February and was more than happy with the food and the service. There were four of us and we all had the three course menu. It was especialy nice to be served plenty of fresh, well cooked vegetables with our mains as so many places these days charge extra for sides of veg. We loved the desserts especially. My daughter ordered her favourite Panna Cotta with berries , but unfortunatly , the one she was seved had been kept too cold and was amost frozen . We told the waiter and it was exchainged straight away for ahuge plate of choclatey treats that she was more than happy to scoff all of ! Add in the best Blush Zinfandel I have ever had and youve got a very happy party. the resteraunt looks lovelt too after the refurb. Give it a go I think you woud ike it.

I vowed never to go back after they decided that splitting a queue for the Chinese buffet by race was acceptable.

We were told in no uncertain terms by the duty manager that it was his right to decide that Chinese customers could have a seperate queue and be served first as it was a Chinese 'Themed' buffet.

Whites one side, Chinese the other. It was like apartheid right here in Sheffield!

Their loss as since then we have more options for Casino's and quite possibly another one coming in town, I personally think it will be the nail in the coffin for them. They have struggled for years now.

I can't get my breath! Did this really happen? If so, it's illegal, not just appalling.
