sues_budgie
There are allsorts of cat repellents you can buy. True, but you need to feed a dog and take it for walks. Why not have a "cat tax", the owners pay for the damage caused by there animals
Riccardoh
When you consider not only the effect they have on personal property but the wildlife in the areas around them. It's very difficult to see them as anything other than legal vermin.
HarmOKnee
Can I point you in the direction of at least half a dozen pointless, useless threads concerned with owners being responsible for their cats? At least I would but I'm too busy stifling a yawn. Are your sure it's cats? Cats do tend to go where they can bury what they've done in soil or cat litter etc. I must admit I've never seen a cat urinate on a hard surface and the only cat I've seen poo on a pavement was very ill. I agree. My cat will only use the litter tray.
Riccardoh
There are allsorts of cat repellents you can buy. The point is that I shouldn't have to. It should be the owners responsibilty to prevent this from happening, either by ensuring they do their business in a litter tray or by providing funds for neighbours to keep them off of their properties. mrsmiggins
Are you absolutely sure? Cats always bury their stuff - they are very fastidious.
Riccardoh
Oh, get real. Why is that unrealistic and we be so flipant? This is a preventable problem and people wish to have a pet then they're taking on a responsibilty. All the dog owners I know clear their dogs mess and ensure there dogs 'don't get out' and that's at a cost to themselves. Why should people who have cats be any different.
