Greedy insurance companies.

Recommended Posts

Late payment fees are a joke, this can be very annoying if its your banks fault..but doubly annoying when you have to stump up both ways when its not even your fault.I have just had to pay an extra £30 as well as my insurance premium. No horrible comments please about rights and wrongs, and that i should have made sure to pay it on time. For the sake of a few days i get stiffed for extra £££S.Surley it is unjust and unfair,no wonder people are mad and annoyed about crippling fees.I dont mind paying a small amount, but their figures for charging what they like are not acceptable.i have sorted with my bank but these insurance places wont budge.you try to do the right thing by getting yourself all legal but you find yourself getting shafted time and time again..I have a strong feeling im giving myself to a pack of wolves on the forum..but here goes.:)

If the problem was down to the bank, tell them and they'll cough up.

do you think i could get the late payment fee back from the insurance company,i had this problem before and my bank reimbursed me my charges, but alas the insurance didnt.

The insurance probably won't but, assuming it's the bank that cocked up, they should pay all charges including the late fee.

I had this a long time ago when the bank debited a cheque instead of crediting it.

A few payments failed because it sent me overdrawn but a complaint to the bank saw all payments made and charges from one company paid back by the bank.

Their fault = their problem.

If it's the bank's fault they can't refuse.

Not legally, but some of them sometimes try to wriggle out of it by making some sort of an argument.

It then becomes a question of how much you're out of pocket, how hard you want to bang their heads to make them pay it back, and whether it's easier just to say "well sod you then" and go to a new bank.
