Just had a phone call saying my windows on comp has a bad virus, CON??

This has happened to 5 people that i know, including my girlfriends Grand parents who in their old age played into it.

ahahaha I love those phone calls. I annoy them to the max. At the end i say "well this virus wont affect my mac will it?"

I've had these phone calls several times and have either played dumb making them repeat themselves or attempt to explain very basic concepts. I got a call yesterday, there was a long pause then a voice obviously not accustommed to using english as a first language. I thought 'oh no another one' and as i was being interupted I was rather brusque and unwilling to discuss whatever issue they had rung me up about. It was only when I dialed 1471 that i realised it had been a legitimate call from an organisation and so although I feel a bit bad at having been so off hand with the caller I do intend to point out to the organisation that it might be an idea to use people who don't sound as though they're in an oversea's call centre.
