Fishcake
Is it not illegal to do this to bees? Aren't bees in danger and dissapearing? Is it because no one will pay to get them moved and instead kills them with paint thinners? These will be no good to Alcoblog now, you have ruined the chance of some good money for fluffy fat wasps to be sold on for a purpose known to only one man. Alcoblog
I've seen this before, it's a sad situation. The wasps actually live underground BECAUSE they have become so fat. They eventually reach a size where they just can't physically leave the burrow, until a medical emergency occurrs and the fire & rescue services have to remove a window and lift the wasps out with a crane Mining wasps lead such a dangerous life. Only last year in Chile, 33 'mining wasps' were trapped underground whilst digging for pollen. Their plight was broadcast worldwide in the 69 days it took to rescue them. Eventually they were bought to the surface one by one in a custom built aluminium cigar tube, suspended by garden twine. The Chilean wasp president, Stingy Pinero, was awarded the 'I'm Very Cross' in recognition of his heroic rescue attempt.
Bulgarian
it's sad that people are prepared to kill inocent (and helpfull/usefull) creatures because they are "terrifide" of them.
grababargin
wouldnt have been nice tho if her little grandchildren had been running round the garden this summer and stood on the nest. it was only visable because of the bee's exiting the nest. theres plenty of open land where the things can nest isnt there. Yep! ... know what you mean! It really is sad that people can't spell correctly, just as you say!
