A great selection of events at La Mama for you this July...

 

 

Firstly we are pleased to be taking part in this years Sheffield Food Festival. Designed to encourage and promote all that is culinary about Sheffield, La Mama will be contributing two events to the week long programme:

 

Saturday July 9th - El Gusto de La Mama - The Taste of La Mama (11am - 2.30pm)

Take the opportunity to taste something new and sample a range of our authentic and speciality Tapas. Bite size platters will be available comprising of a few of our favourite Tapas for just £3. If you've not had chance to visit us recently please take this opportunity to sample the taste of La Mama.

 

Saturday July 9th - Children's Cooking Class - Sopaipillas Baking (12pm - 1.30pm)

All children and parents welcome to learn how to cook traditional Chilean pastries - Sopaipillas. Children will be taught how to create the pastry and allowed to shape before being cooked - free for all the family.

Our popular Wednesday evening live music nights continue. Please come and join the fun. Acts for the next few weeks are:

 

July 6th - Son Para Todos - creatively fusing Latin rhythms with Columbian Salsa, Spanish Flamenco and Cuban Son this popular Sheffield band are a melting pot of styles and energy. Ever popular with the Sheffield Latin community.

 

July 13th - Paul Newman - don't miss the opportunity to see this very talented local singer/guitarist performing popular Latin & Jazz classics from an impressive repertoire overflowing with Bossa Nova, Cuban Son and songs from the last century.

 

July 20th - Mike Tinker - entertainer extraordinaire Mike will not fail to get your foot tapping and your ears listening with his original take on the Blues/Americana/Jazz sound. Expect a musical surprise during his performance - don't miss.

 

July 27th - Act to be confirmed

 

 

...and remember our Kizomba classes continue each Saturday afternoon between 3.30pm and 6.30pm - beginners class first, advanced second. Just call in advance to book a place.
