Drought in the Horn of Africa?

Recommended Posts

Ethiopia is on another arms buying spree as millions of Ethiopians starve due to the worst drought in 60 years.

Let's see what Skinz, Longcol and Kaimani have to say about this which is virtual proof about what I and others have been saying on this and another thread.

Come on guys Ethiopia must be a land flowing with milk and money.

Firstly, do you have evidence that the charity money gets paid directly to the government? Secondly, do Ethiopia's population deserve to starve because their government behaves in such a diabolical manner?

In infancy? Many of these former colonies have been independent for over 50 years.

Tell us the many who are doing fine, and if they're doing fine as you say why aren't they helping their African kinfolk?.

50 years? That’s nothing in nation building years. Look at any nation that's been ruled by another and see how long it took before they even got some semblance of 'peace and stability'.

the world has changed, yes, and we now have very short attention spans and memories, but history tells us that self governance, especially built on ideals and ideas that are not necessarily your own is a very long process.

Anyway, there are many countries helping the best they can. In terms of what they have and what they give they do just as good, if not better, than the best western giving nations.
