Drought in the Horn of Africa?

Recommended Posts

According to the BBC - "Somalia's al-Shabab Islamists have denied lifting their 2009 ban on Western aid agencies and say UN reports of famine are "sheer propaganda".

The UN on Wednesday said that parts of Somalia were suffering a famine after the worst drought in 60 years.

A spokesman for al-Shabab, which has ties to al-Qaeda and controls much of the country, accused aid groups of being political.

I would not give one penny of my money to any of the 'players' in this sick political game that all of these organisation are playing

It would seem that some people on this forum are quite happy to prop up this regime, don't you find that a bit strange or suspect Hmmmm?.

Who on this forum have actually indicated that they want to prop up this regime?

An Islamist group that wants to impose Sharia Law on the whole of Somalia, which for its own ambitions of dictatorship would rather see their own people die....no real surprise there.

As hard line Islamists, I'm sure they will also accept that natural disasters are punishments from God. I wonder if they are capable of self examination and questioning whether they have incurred God's wrath?

Haven't you noticed the common denominator in all this?

Well I'll stick my neck out and face the wrath of mods by saying 'Radical Islamists'

over a radical Islamic jihadist group that has been killing relief workers.

And now they have imposed an aid ban http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-14246764

How can anyone as scum like as these radical muslims deny aid to their own children, what kind of a religion is Islam that its religious leaders issue orders to neglct their own children?

They knock out babies year after year and sell their livestock to buy arms instead of feeding their own and we're supposed to pick up the tab for feeding their dependents.

Don't send aid in my name!

Where's CXC3000, let's hear his warped angle on all of this.

In your ignorance, you blame the Faith for the un-Faithful actions of a minority ?

If you'd actually read the thread you'd find that the arming of the factions in the Horn comes mainly from the Middle East / Arab nations and the former Soviet republics.
