sandie
I could not believe the appeal on TV to donate £3.00 per month so that the hospital can continue to treat sick children. As the government gone mad when a children's hospital needs donations so they can care for our children. Putting that to one side our elderly and all of us have to, and are still paying NI contributions where is that brass going to. I find the appeal insulting and well out of order, they can spend millions on a high speed rail link and widening the M25 when it comes to health they expect Joe public to cough up to fund what Westminster will not fund. What next Sheffield,Leeds, Manchester,Glasgow, Inverness and many more, will they be appealing for funds to keep the hospitals open so they can treat children and all that need care
iansheff
What annoys me about GOS is they have the bags delivered asking for clothes around here, why can they not just stick to London?
Rich
What annoys me about GOS is they have the bags delivered asking for clothes around here, why can they not just stick to London? Because it's a National charity?
iansheff
So what, asking the rest of the country for contributions for old clothes for a London hospital is cutting down the chances of local charities benefitting. Also how much is it costing them targetting the country as a whole?

CXC3000
With the Government giving over £280 million to India (who is a nuclear power, as well as a very successful nation), it's disgusting what's happening here re. our needs The UK must "fundamentally" change its aid relationship with India after 2015 by giving less to the increasingly prosperous country, MPs say. The international development committee backed the government's decision to continue providing £280m a year in the short term to combat poverty. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-13768374

Would you also claim that a charity such as cancer research trust shouldn't drop bags in your area because it detracts from local charities?
