RedAlpha
How can I get access to my medical records to see what is written there? I would imagine it is not as simple as asking at a doctors surgery..
truman
Well, they are your notes so just ask at your doctor's and take it from there..
Number Six
You can ask to see your notes at any time. Failing that, if you know any journalists they will be able to help you.
Treatment
You can ask to see your notes at any time. Failing that, if you know any journalists they will be able to help you. Or you can hang around Rebatos Tapas Bar in South Lambeth Road and wait until a drunk government employee leaves them on a memory stick. The 5.15 pm to Guildford is also a good bet. Fishcake
I will call your doctor pretending to be you and send them to you. Is Redalpha your first or last name?
Badlittlepup
You have to write to your GPs and formally request access. All the info you need here: http://www.nhsmedicalrecords.org.uk/medicalrecords.php#right
Grandad.Malky
Well, they are your notes so just ask at your doctor's and take it from there.. I believe it used to be difficult to get to see your notes but now with the freedom of information act I would have thought there was a process in place to see them. Freedom of Information doesn't apply to personal records. But see badlittlepup's post for the actual answer!
Norbert
At my doctors you are handed a thick folder containing your medical records to give to the doctor. You can read them while in the waiting area.
