Classical music at Harrisons 1854

WEDNESDAY 20TH JULY.

We try to do some different stuff down at Harrisons, so when a chap came in and asked if we'd be interested in putting on some classical music performances, we snapped up his offer. We are very pleased to present to you our first classical music evening, featuring locally sourced musicians.

Live music will start around 8pm, but you can feel free to come and go as you please. We want to provide an informal atmosphere for the evening, so there's no problem if you turn up any time.

In rough order of play, we will be giving you:

- Vivaldi's Mandolin Concerto in C

- Schubert's Die Schone Mullerin

- Bach's Cello Suite No. 1

- Saint-Saens' The Swan

plus pieces by John Ireland, Howard Goodall, Eric Whitacre and a whole load more...all totally free!

Come down and take in some great music in a fantastic space!

Harrisons 1854 will be open from 5pm, serving cocktails, wines, proper ale and intercontinental beers.

Why not tell us who the musicians are as well ...

Steven Hickey is the guitarist. A Manchester Graduate.

Robert Dufton will be singing (Songman at Sheffield Cathedral)

Jeremy Dawson is the cellist (also a songman)

The keyboardist is Anthony Gowing, Organist of Sheffield Cathedral

The choir is comprised of the songmen and schola cantorum of Sheffield Cathedral

Should be a good evening!
