Guest sibon
There is only one reason for the Labour party to exist... They aren't the Tories. People seem to have short memories, the Tories ruined this country in the 80s and 90s, we now have absolutely no manufacturing base as a result of their policies. No good will come of this u-turning, shambolic coalition and a Labour Government would be a better option for most people. Not by much though, all three major parties seem obsessed with occupying the inoffensive middle ground rather than acting on principle.

Or maybe they just remember things differently and have different priorities. The government is always decided by a small minority that change the way they vote, most people that vote always vote for the same party.

In the past there were clear philosophical differences between the parties. That is no longer the case. I'm an ex Labour Party member, but I'm now reduced to voting labour because they are the least worst option.
nightlight59
Which is fine, I just find your inability to spell the name of a major political party rather makes you somewhat lacking in intellectual faculties. Wobberlobblelobberlobby To be honest reading your post you do sound very childish but there you go takes all sorts.

Happ Hazzard
a Labour Government would be a better option for most people. For who? Public sector types and people on benefits? Most normal working-class people are far better off under the Tories.
Guest sibon
Most normal working-class people are far better off under the Tories. In what way? Your claim should be easy to quantify. How much better off would a binman be under a Tory Government, compared to a Labour one?

How much better off would a binman be under a Tory Government, compared to a Labour one? He might have a job, hopefully if the coalition can reverse the new labour project to "change the face of britain" just to annoy the tories. Labour have engaged in shameful behaviour that have betrayed the working class they claim to represent and while the coalition are far from ideal they are a lot better than the champagne socialists of the labour party.
