Haven't been following most of this, but did the Murdocks have anything directly to do with all this stuff, or are they in trouble for "should have known" ? Rupert brought the model here, bought the sun and NoW for buttons and introduced the same (sub) standards, it worked, dicks bought it and also bought the right wing agenda that went with it, that made murdoch VERY VERY politically pwerful - he had private army of journos and private 'tecs and could bring down just about anyone who crossed him with some tittle tattle about a shag or a spliff years ago. no one dared cross him except the Guardian and the new york times (which he was trying to buy), the 'do aything for the story or go' mentality was his and he knew exactly what was going on - he instigated it. No doubt with some kind of gagging clause meaning getting any meaningful info will be like getting blood from a stone, even when she's in front of a judge. sand_dollars Posted July 16, 2011 Share Posted July 16, 2011 I was driving back from the home of flat pack(yes ilea),yesterday on the radio they were discussing whether or not she should have resigned earlier ,some guy called in and what he said was actually bang on the button .He stated we are a nation of hypocrites as who can say no one has read or bought of even gossiped about things that have been written in these gutter papers or on the news............. BUT I have never hacked the phone of a raped and butchered child or profited from someone else doing it, I have never seen the bereaved families of dead soldiers as column inches without human rights or humanity, I have never threatened to use the immense power of the press to destroy anyone who probes or criticises me. they have.
