Bar Sessions at Harrisons 1854, Saturday 6th August.

Well, we said we'd give ourselves the summer off and reconvene once the city has awoken from it's traditional warm-weather slumber....but we like playing records too much to leave it alone.

So come join us for a relaxed little get-together, where we'll be dropping summer vibes in the laid-back surroundings of Harrisons bar.

Rather than going down our usual straight-up house music route, we'll be soundtracking the evening with delicate selections from across the spectrum, encompassing funk, hip-hop, soul, disco, broken beats and of course our signature deep house sounds. Old and new, future and retro.

Your hosts will be:

Dan J (Scuba, Don't Walk...Boogie!)

Alex Cooke (Diasha)

GrowMore (Cargo)

It's free entry and there is a great selection of world beers and local ales to be had, plus plenty of wines and cocktails for t'ladies. ;)

A little bit about the venue:

Harrisons 1854 is under new management and they're keen to build a rep as a more chilled-out getaway just off the well-worn West St drinking trail. Along with their friends at Old No 7 (fka The Lounge), they see themselves as the alternative option - the idea being to provide a sweet little haven only a few steps away from the more commercial 'attractions' you might find on Sheffield's most popular weekend destination. We salute this.

Check them out here http://www.facebook.com/Harrisons1854 and be sure to take a peek over Tramlines weekend if you're around (GrowMore and Dan J are playing on the Sunday but there's stuff on all weekend).

And finally:

Speaking of Tramlines, don't forget Phono are hosting the second room when Cargo and Bearweasel hit town on the Saturday night. Yon event page est ici - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=159803627421564

Big Love
