Israel condemned for imprisoning Palestinian children

Some even as young as 12 (and tried in adult military courts too).

Just another insight into the barbaric nature of the only 'democracy' in the Middle East.

An Israeli rights group has criticised the government for jailing Palestinian children, some as young as 12.

Palestinian children arrested in the West Bank are usually tried in military courts.

It says that in the past six years, 19 Palestinian children aged either 12 or 13 have been jailed for up to two months.

From March (2010) :

Rights groups express concern at the rising number of juveniles as young as 12 who are held behind bars and 'treated like terrorists'

Yawn. Do us a favour and pop over there to fight for your cause? Then you will be too busy to waste other people's time on here.

Are you saying we need to 'hide' what Israel does ? - that we can't expose the brutality that Palestinian children go through in Israeli prisons ?

We're talking about children here (if it missed your attention).

You notice, this is an issue being raised by an Israeli rights group, against the Israeli government. Isn't it good that this sort of descent is allowed.

I do agree it is wrong, but the irony of it is the Palestinians (and this Israeli rights group) demand better rights for these kids, when there is far far worse abuse within their own territories. How often do you see Palestinians and rights group mass protesting at children being used as bombers? I'm not saying it's right, just a case of the pot calling the kettle black, even if it's done by proxy.

Ooops, my apologies CXC3000. I realise now that you are a Mossad agent, posting on here to make the Palestinian cause look a bit, well, silly. Rather like that Mossad shark plot in Sharm el Sheikh that some Egyptian cleverly exposed. D*mned cunning Johnnies those Israelis, eh?

Throwing stones can cause injury or death so what would you stop the children from throwing stones at you and what would you do to prevent any further stone throwing?

A nine-year-old boy died after he was hit by a stray stone on a cricket ground in Pimpri on Tuesday evening.

The boy has been identified as Pratik Dhaku Sudrik of Pimpri. The police are yet to find out who threw the stone.

Five boys aged 12 to 14 have been sentenced to two years' detention for killing a man they pelted with sticks and stones while he played with his son.

Two stones, one the size of half a brick, hit him on the temple, fracturing a cheekbone. He collapsed with a heart attack.
