Anyone else getting tired of the 'Hacking Scandal' coverage?

Recommended Posts

It seems every news broadcaster and paper have forgotten about any other news...not very good given we have issues including;

Euro Crisis

US Dollar debt

Arab Spring (who cares now?!)

Afghan War

African Famine (sorry Africa, not that bothered, some rich toffs are spoiling themselves!)

It seems Rupert Murdoch and Ms Brooks cant go to the loo without it being reported yet all these stories are being neglected!

Surely we could just let the inquiry deal with it without 24 hours of coverage draggin out people who arent connected with it and asking their opinions?!

Sorry, I just feel the press have gone mental on this point scoring thing, ya know, Sky vs BBC, Mail vs Independant; who can report the most

yea the news and politicians have all gone mad!

Of course the press is corrupt, everyone knew it but now they couldnt distance themselves quick enough! Bet Vince Cable has a nice smile to himself right now.

They're just not bothered about that Colonel bloke in Libya and Syria...meh, who cares?!

No, not at all. It's probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, stories to hit the headlines in a long time.

This is probably the biggest story we have in the UK, or have had in many many years - It's not just a bit of light hearted mudslinging about naughty journalists, it's about corruption and the back handers and snide behaviour of not just the media, but the police and the government, with the current prime minister so deep in this that he ran straight off to play being PM abroad... It's a good thing that the chief police have resigned, now we need the tory leader and his chancellor to do the same as they have been involved with this too deeply themselves...

Love the Steve Bell cartoon in todays Guardian, showing a gravestone bearing the caption 'Here lie the careers of Metropolitan police commissioners Stephenson and Yates R.I.P.' a hand from the grave is seen to be wrappped around Smarmy Daves leg!
