KATIEB_23
Help! I bought some fab solar fairy lights from Maplins back in March, and decorated my whole garden with them and it looked lovely Now, it's my Birthday party at the weekend, and all 4 sets of fairy lights have cocked out on me at the last minute Maplins say I can have a refund, so that's OK - I'll sort that out next week... but I'm after some replacement lights in a hurry. I ordered some plug-in ones a week ago from iNest but they turned out to be a completely useless untrustworthy company who didn't have them in stock & didn't even bother to tell me until I spent all day yesterday chasing it up Does anyone know where I can buy some in a hurry? I think I would prefer plug-in rather than solar now, seeing as the solar ones proved so unreliable. Thanks in advance

KATIEB_23
Any diy shops will have them such as homebase /sainsburys etc or wilkinsons:) Places I have checked are: B&Q Wilkinsons Tescos Wickes None of them have anything appropriate Either really expensive, or not appropriate because our garden doesn't get much light. alternageek
Argos have a whole bunch: http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002701&langId=-1&searchTerms=FAIRY+LIGHTS (which means homebase will as well) Edit: they have two in stock in stores. Oops. Amazon have a bunch and if you order before I think 2pm today you should be able to get next day delivery http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Doutdoor&field-keywords=solar+fairy+lights&x=0&y=

Those Solar Brite ones on Amazon are the bu99ers that conked out on me after 3mths I have an idea... The ones I own run off one rechargable battery which the solar panel charges up during the day... I tried replacing that but the ampage on that battery is so low you can't buy them in shops, and a standard rechargable battery didn't work. Maybe I could just put fully charged normal batteries in for this weekend? Then I could go buy the Argos ones when they are back in stock. Does anyone think this will work? Or would the ampage still be a problem?
RootsBooster
Try B&M at Meadowhall retail park, they usually have multicoloured or single coloured solar fairy lights for about £6.99. They're pretty bright, I have a white set that I set up like a strip-light inside the tent when camping

KATIEB_23
THANKS GUYS! Following alternageek's Amazon link, I have found some plug-in lights that look perfect. If they don't arrive by Saturday then my back-up plan will be to nip to B&M like Roots suggested. Thanks for all your help

themissis
Glad you found something!! *fingers crossed* your lights arrive in time! If your thinking of BM ones you need to act fast, I bought 2lots yesterday, 50 solar lights per pack for £5.99 each. They didn't have many left.
