megalithic
I have no work on Thursday, I'm an experienced landscaper. I'd be happy to come round and give my advice for free. I'd also be happy for you to quote and throw my advice open to the forum for scrutiny. I'm available via pm. Geoff.

Scozzie
Mega and Alc, you're both gems. Yonksie, if you ask around the forum, you'll find a lot of people with good things to say about these two fine people. I don't think you'd be unsafe letting them into your garden. max
If you add some hydrogen isotope deuterium to the uphill side of the pool, thus making heavy water, this should counteract the effect of gravity on the water.
quisquose
I had the same problem but just levelled an area the exact size of the pool. Didn't take very long. As you say, the incline isn't great. ^^^ This, basically. I have done the same to accommodate one of those pesky trampolines. Not many flat gardens in Sheffield is there? Yonksie
Since you've got a (potential) downhill lake, why don't you give water skiing lessons? Could do but would only get one chance, and could be very boring waiting for the pool to pop!

I'd do it for nothing, it gets me out of the house! That's very kind of you and your help would be much appreciated but wouldn't feel right you doing it for free. Am quite happy to pay you. I've pm'd Megalithic to take him up on his offer of having a look and giving me a quote. Many thanks.
