Sausage Dog
Indeed Anything that keeps rage indoors and not on the streets has to be good. But does it stay indoors if it incites people?
ThatYank
all of the loud idiots get the attention. at least the vast majority of sf'ers are usually calm and polite. most of us are wiseacres. if you're the type who is loud rude etc, you'll be the same online and in person. the internet did not create an age of rage. the internet provides an outlet for it. Mecky
If tomorrow Sheffield forum policy changed so that everyone had to update their profiles and user id's with their real names and a genuine photo the site would die in about 2 weeks. You would only see threads like, "how can I make a nice casserole" and then a few posts with some really boring advice haha. But people already know peoples' real names and what they look like, it's a small world you know.
