llamatron
What do others think of the security questions that companys on the phone need to go through before they will talk to you? The vast raft of questions needed to be able to talk to a telecoms or utilities supplier drives me mad...do people actually try to impersonate others to discuss the others electricity bill? And what about when WE are rung by someone and then they ask for all the security questions...when they have rung us...I dont know if they are from who they say.. I tend to refuse to answer in that sceniario. What do you think? HSBC does that it drives me nuts and they don't like it when I refuse to answer. Im not giving my security answers away to randoms just so that you can try and sell me something-bog off! Idiots!!!
Cyclone
Best is when my Bank telephones me- the caller insists on verifying my ID but is oddly unwilling to do the same for him/herself! Unwilling, or just unable?
Jeffrey Shaw
Unwilling, or just unable? If I'm able to prove that I'm me, I expect a Bank official to do correspondingly- esp. when the Bank started it all by telephoning me!
