hugh jarse
Whats happened with the cost of lightbulbs? The government said companies couldn't make lightbulbs that they have sold for the past twenty years for only 17p-22p. To save the world we can now only buy the "eco" ones...At Tescos they are now £5.00 and no doubt in five years time they'l be costing £10 each. Does anyone know if the government get any extra tax from these changing prices or are they only thinking of our long term welfare?

Guest sibon
When you've bought your £5 light bulb from Tesco, you can reflect upon the fact that it will save you about £15 per year on your leccy bill. Minus £10 per bulb sounds like a good deal to me. Or, you could pick one up for less than a quid on ebay.
quisquose
I paid £90 for 8 x LED GU10 4W (50W equivalent) bulbs recently. Quite happy with them too.
