Too much American 'culture' in the UK?

Recommended Posts

And I suppose Americans are to return the favour by going Blackpool :hihi:

Better ignore ArchViz poppins. He? She? or whatever it is has a giant chip on it's shoulder about America.

If ignorance and stupidity was electricity ArchVviz would be a freakin first line nuclear power plant.

My advice. Reply once then leave it alone

Ooh! you sound like a right nasty little bugger, no green card then ?

No just a British Passport and no desire for anything else, especially to a country who could vote for a B actor who starred with a chimp to run the country and after that vote for the chimp a la Bush Jr.

Now what was that about ignorance and stupidity?

Not too big a price to pay for the genocide inflicted upon them though is it.
The first settlers came over trying to make friends with the Indian Nations, but some tribes would have none of it. So they began to seek other places to settle in the wilderness, always with the same result, goodbye hair. If this country was ever going to grow and be prosperous it would take drastic measures, and a bunch of savages wasn't going to stop it. Do you think the British Empire was built with kindness? The next thing I'll get is "We're not talking about the British Empire,we're talking about America". That's a cop out.

Oh please. Every Treaty ever made with the Indians was broken, and I don't use the word 'every' lightly. It was only a minor issue until the States became expansionist, and then nobody was going to stand in their way. The idea of Manifest Destiny crushed the American natives.
