Hello, I have posted this elsewhere but I want to get this out to as wide an audience as possible!

As some of you may know I was diagnosed with womb cancer right at the very end of Dec 2009. I had a complete hysterectomy folowed be chemotherapy and then radiotherapy.

I am now doing ok and have set up a Facebook support group for women in the same position as me because quite simply, I couldn’t find any support when I went looking for it!

We have almost 100 women in the group and we also have a closed group where the women can chat about the really personal stuff without it showing up on their profiles!

We’ve also just started a blog and we are also tweeting!

If you have womb cancer, or know of anyone who does then please, please share the following links with them.

We are the only womb specific support group in the UK that I am aware of and we offer advice, support and a shoulder to cry on if needed.

there is a new website to add to the list of support being offered by this group:

http://www.wix.com/wombcancersupportuk/home

along with a fundrasing initiative being run by kaz on whos behalf im posting :)

I am fundraising for vital womb cancer research that is being carried out by Dr Patricia Ellis at Hammersmith Hospital. She needs around £5,000 for the research so I am selling some of my jewellery over on Facebook.

As September is Womb Cancer Awareness month we are running an auction and I am asking if there is anyone who would be willing to do a little shopping. I know times are hard but anything, however small, will add to out total which stands at £273 at the moment.

In 2007, 7,536 women in the UK were diagnosed with womb cancer and it caused 1,741 deaths in the UK in 2008. Thats an awful lot of women – Mothers, Daughters; Sisters; Wives!

Please help us spread the word about womb cancer – if caught early it is treatable and the survival rate is very good!

Thank you

Kaz xx
